PUPPETS FOR ALL
Puppets have been used throughout history as means of political protest or to shed light on injustices within society. Participants will learn the basic types of puppets and their mechanics, make puppets using discarded and repurposed materials, and discuss arts activism and accessibility along the way. Come enjoy a history lesson and building workshop rolled up into one!

TOY THEATERS FOR ALL
Toy Theaters were first made centuries ago for people to reenact the operas or plays they just saw. Now they are used to tell new stories in their own right!
Participants will develop a story, build a toy theater, and make additional props and puppets, all while discussing arts activism and accessibility along the way. This workshop uses discarded and repurposed materials found in most peopleʼs recycling bins. Come create a fun, versatile toy theater perfect for any classroom, story circle, or puppet slam setting!
